How do I double or triple the size of a knitting pattern (stuffed animal)?

I want to make this knitted stuffed animal much bigger. How do I double or triple the size?

You could do it in a thicker yarn and larger needles and lengthen the limbs and body.
Really you need to rewrite the pattern because of the proportions. For example if you made the legs twice as long the ears wouldn’t need to be twice as long too.
