Can you put two tortioses in a rabbit cage? thank you everyone?
I am thinking about purchasing a russian tortoise and i am wondering if i can house two of them in an unused rabbit cage that is 38in. long and 20in. wide!!! please, is this ok for two??? thanks everyone that helps! I am in need of info!! thanks again!!! =)
For two Russians to be kept in the same enclosure, you should build a “turtle table” of 4ft X 6ft. It is basically a bookshelf laid on its back. Here’s a good site to help you build one (simply adjust the measurements as needed): http://www.unc.edu/~dtkirkpa/stuff/table.html
Tortoises, like all “land turtles” have an innate wandering nature and will quickly go stir crazy in a small space.
