Can I travel to Geneva Switzerland with 2 month expired Panamanian Passport & Valid current Green/Alien Card?
My friend (u.s citizen) and I booked our flights last month and today as I went to British Airways to put in additional information I notice that my passport expired 11/09! I am scheduled to leave Jan 23 2010 and I am a Panamanian Citizen, I have my green card, birth cert, GA license All CURRENT…Panama’s embassy takes 8 weeks to renew unless I travel there this week which will cost ALOT of money! Changing my flight will cost $300 dollars and I have made so many preparations for this trip including booking my hotel. PLEASE help, wont they just let me go and come back to the States seeing as that the Alien card is what permits me back in anyway?
Your Green Card authorizes you to enter and leave the United States but is does not authorize you to enter Switzerland.

You need to go to or write to the Embassy/Consulate of Panama which covers your state of residence

and request a travel document (consular passport) to be issued which takes 2-3 working days.

The Consular Passport is recognized by the Swiss Immigration Officers as passport replacing document.
